Sean Garvey is the current 12th-grade team leader, teaching his Philosophy Elective and Participation and Government for seniors. He was born and raised in Fairfield, Connecticut and attended Boston College for both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Philosophy before moving to New York City to attain his Master's in Secondary Education at Hunter College. He began his teaching career at Lehman High School before moving down the road to Bronxdale High School where he has taught for the past 7 years in the special education and humanities departments. You can find him talking passionately about Philosophy, History, or Politics to anyone who will. You can ALSO find him to talk about the greatest sports teams ever- the New York Mets and New York Jets. He loves cooking, hiking, and sports that can be played in the fall! He believes that every student deserves the opportunity to make a change in the world, and is passionate about helping students find their voice and forge their own path.
